Thank you for inquiring about employment at the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council summer resident camp, Azalea Trails. Camp Azalea Trails is located near Idyllwild, California in the San Jacinto Mountains. Highlights of the camp program include horseback riding, archery, nature and biking, outdoor recreation, and leadership programs.
Working at Girl Scout camp is a truly memorable experience and opportunity to form unforgettable friendships. In addition, working at resident camp offers you help young girls grow; learn communication skills, team work, and lifelong leadership skills.
Camp Azalea Trails will operate from June 14, 2009 – August 20, 2009. Schedule may vary depending on job position. This includes pre-camp training and closing the camp at the end of the season. The Camp season includes “pre-camp” training, which is an important part of the job commitment. During this training, staff members learn new skills, practice techniques of leadership, become familiar with the camp, and get to know fellow staff members.

If your idea of an exciting summer includes working with children in the out-of-doors, please submit your application today. We recommend but do not require that applicants are at least 19 years old. Other qualifications may include attendance in a Counselor-In-Training program, experience at resident camp and /or working with children. Carefully review the job descriptions below so that you can apply for the position that best reflects your interests, skills and abilities. You will need to complete:
1) Application Form
2) Two Reference Forms
3) Background Authorization Form.
