
Girls say that grade – not age – often determines their social groups. Research has shown that girls learn best, and have the most fun, when they are with the right developmental and social group. To ensure that girls get the most out of Girl Scouting, girls are placed in the following grade-levels:
A couple more things to know – all Girl Scout members will be asked to accept the Girl Scout Promise and the Girl Scout Law.
All Girl Scouts will receive a Passport to Leadership to help them track and record their favorite Girl Scout memories. Members are also asked to pay annual membership dues of $10* – financial assistance is available.
*Annual national membership fees are established by Girl Scouts of the USA. This national membership fee will be increased to $12 for the 2009-2010 membership year.
