From our founding 100 years ago, Girl Scouts has been an inclusive movement that welcomes diversity among its girls and adult volunteers. The Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio is convening this Leadership Summit to explore ways that Girl Scouts can do more to accommodate the unique needs of different minority groups within the communities being served, particularly African-Americans, Latinas, Asians and American Indians. Invitations have been sent to all Girl Scout leaders and volunteers that have identified themselves as members of a minority group. They will be joined by community leaders, Council staff and other volunteers in a series of breakout sessions for guided discussion and idea exchange.
